Welcome to Aakii Jahesa

The Aakii Jahesa, or Isle of Dragons is located to the Northwest of Farnacium, Southeast of the cities of Lydius and Laura, twenty pasangs from the coast. Accessible by sea and air, the isle has the Northern Forest to the North, past the planes of Laurius, and the Vosk Delta to the South.

Aakii Jahesa has a high ground setting, source of a few clear water springs that make for a northern like forest setting. The springs are mainly located inland and the water runs to the Thassa in narrow but deep rivers that spread through it.
Evidence of higher builders is found on the Isle, but whoever built the structures found on Aakii is long gone, as the only standing build on the region seems to indicate, the ruined castle on Ta-Aakii Jahesa, the Daughter of Dragons, a small isle close to Aakii.

Found by the current Taae Gianii En Jerag, the Aakii was adopted as a home away from the continent, and a tribe was born. The panthers are the only inhabitants of Aakii, a few wanderers may find it in their hearts to take one of the few existing shelters in the wild as home, but so far none has.
As for travelers, the panthers remain true to their nature and only few can claim to be their friends, and still... But Ta-Aakii still holds a partially intact structure that may accommodate those tolerated or even welcomed by the Taae.

The Taae Gianii owe their name to the original En-Jerag, a daughter of the South, born in the rain forests where the small and elusive panthers live. As the Giani legend goes, the tear marks on their faces come from a grieving mother, that mourned too long for her lost cubs. As the cubs returned, her happiness did not erase the marks and they became permanent, as a reminder of her sorrow. So they wear them to remember past sorrows as they embrace a new tomorrow away from a land of madness.

You can find their camp deep inland, where the elder tree and the main spring is located. Hiding in the deep wild, few are those who know of their existence and they are fierce in the defense of their freedom and their land. Depending on trade from across the sea, they are open to a few dwellers they call Dirii, or Waterbringers, as the original trader arrived on Aakii as the rain season started.

Panthers from different backgrounds, some free women, some escaped slaves, some born in Gor, some on Earth, they share a common trait and a single dream. To live free and one with the Mother of All, the true keeper of Life.

Each has her own past, path and burden, and they are hard to break into by friends and foes alike, but all take pride in the respect they have earned and you will find no truer souls in Gor.

May the Mother shine her wisdom and light on their paths always and on the ones those who seek peace and justice travel on.
